arrow Overview

The 160 GB Spare Drive for G-SPEED from G-Technology is a hot-swappable spare hard drive for the G-SPEED. It can be used to as a spare drive in the event of a drive failure. System administrators should always have at least one spare drive on hand to minimize downtime in the event of a drive failure.

Key Features

Spare Drive

Having a spare drive available reduces downtime in the event of an individual drive failure in your RAID. Simply remove the bad drive and insert the new one and let your array automatically rebuild your data.

Hot Swappable

The drive is hot swappable, allowing you to replace a bad drive without having to power down your G-SPEED. This eliminates the downtime that is often associated with hardware upgrades or replacement, making your job as a system administrator easier.
