The 8 TB MediaVault 5108 External PCIe RAID Array from Ciprico is an 8-disk hard drive array. It features a PCI Express external expansion interface, and includes the required PCIe x8 host adapter card.
The enclosure features a hardware RAID controller that can be configured as RAID 0, 1, 1n, 5, 10, 10n, 50, and JBOD. It is an excellent option for anyone who would like a high-performance RAID disk array.

The array connects directly to your computer's PCI Express bus via the included host card. PCI Express supports 20 Gbps of data bandwidth. The included PCIe x8 host card supports up to eight drives; you'll be able to swap that out with a 16-port RAIDCore adapter to support 16 drives.

The enclosure features a hardware RAID controller, eliminating the need for RAID software. It can be configured as RAID 0, 1, 1n, 5, 10, 10n, 50, or JBOD.
