RAID Data Protection

The array features support for RAID 0, 1, 5, and 6. RAID 0 is available for the ultimate in drive performance, without any data protection. RAID 1 mirrors data to two drives, halving capacity while offering realtime backup of data. RAID 5 is a parity system that allows data to be recovered in the event of a single drive failure. RAID 6 features an advanced dual parity system, which allows data to be recovered in the event of two drive failures.

The HDPro is designed to operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. This makes it an ideal choice for production environments where data must be available at a moment's notice. Monitoring tools are available via a software utility to deliver constant reports on the health status of the array.

Scalable Design

The array is designed to grow as your needs to. The drive modules can be swapped out for higher-capacity disks as they become available. An optional 9-port switch is available for the HDPro; it supports up to seven HDPro arrays, a host connection, and a daisy-chain connection to another switch. You'll be able to daisy-chain an unlimited number of switches, removing any limits to storage scalability.
