Virtual String Machine from GForce and distributed by M-Audio, is a collection of vintage string synthesizers, in the form of a virtual instrument. The software functions as a stand-alone applicatuon, or as a plug-in for hosts that support VST, RTAS and Audio Units formats.
In addition to emulating vintage hardware string machines, the Virtual String Machine allows the user to layer any two Sample Sets and apply synthesizer parameters to each layer. By creating different envelopes, filter settings, pitch LFO, pan positions or fine-tune amounts, users can customize the over five-hundred presets to better service their projects.
