arrow Overview

The ADS PYRO 1394b PCI card adds two FireWire 800 (IEEE 1394b) ports and one standard FireWire (IEEE 1394a) port to either a PC or MAC system via an available PCI slot. FireWire 800 doubles the data transfer speed of standard FireWire.

Key Features

Simple, Easy, Convenient Connectivity

With FireWire technology adding hot-pluggable devices couldn't be easier. Devices can be connected and disconnected without turning the computer off. Up to 63 FireWire devices can be daisy-chained. FireWire 800 devices can even be daisy-chained with standard FireWire devices.

Faster Data Transfer Rates

The PYRO 1394b card can transmit data at a rate up to 800 Mbits/sec - equivalent to 100 Mbytes/sec.
